Frequently Asked Questions
There are often questions when you start using ProFresh Oral Rinse for the first time. We have put together a list of the most frequently asked questions which we hope you will find useful. If you have any additional questions, please email us.
How do I know if I’ve got bad breath?
Scientific studies have proven that people cannot tell by themselves if they have bad breath. We know it’s a little embarrassing but ask a trusted friend or relative to test your breath before using any oral care products. Then test again after using ProFresh. They will easily be able to detect that ProFresh is working; this will help build confidence in both ProFresh and your breath. We appreciate it isn’t easy to ask someone such a sensitive question but this is the only reliable way to find out.
Why should I use ProFresh?
ProFresh smashes bad breath. It’s really easy to use, just 2 minutes twice a day. ProFresh users lose bad breath and regain confidence.
Useage Instructions
We know that it is hard for those suffering from chronic bad breath. So we made sure the ProFresh Breathcare System was easy to use and simple to understand
Step 1: SWISH: Rinse vigorously with 7.5ml (or one bottle cap) full of ProFresh Oral Rinse for 20-30 seconds then tilt you head back, extend your tongue and gargle for an additional 10 seconds ensuring you have soaked the back of your tongue with the mouthwash. Then spit out.
Step 2: SCRAPE: Place the edge of the ProFresh Tongue Cleaner firmly on the back of your tongue and drag it forward. (If you aren’t used to using a tongue scraper you may experience a slight gag reflex but this eases each time you do it). Repeat the scraping motion 4-6 times, rinse your mouth and tongue cleaner with water each time. Don’t forget the sides of your tongue as well as the middle to ensure you remove the entire tongue coating.
Step 3: SCRAPE Once again, rinse vigorously with 7.5ml (or one bottle cap) full of ProFresh Oral Rinse for 20-30 seconds then tilt you head back, extend your tongue and gargle for an additional 10 seconds ensuring you have soaked the back of your tongue with the mouthwash. Then spit out. Follow this with regular flossing and brushing.
How do I use the Tongue Scraper?
If you have never used a tongue scraper before you may experience a slight gag reaction if you push the scraper too far back. Each time you use the Tongue Scraper push it a little further back until you can clean the whole of the tongue area including the sides.
Why is there no flavour to ProFresh®?
The flavouring agents like mint only cover up bad breath and that is not our goal. If we added a flavour, the freshening ingredients of the formulation would simply neutralise the flavour as well as the bad breath.
Will does ProFresh® smell so strong?
Because it is strong! A mild and flavoured mouthwash just simply won’t do the trick.
How does brushing my teeth fit in with a daily ProFresh® routine?
Brushing your teeth AFTER using ProFresh is best. ProFresh is to be used in addition to your regular oral care routine, not instead of.
What’s the difference between single and double activation of ProFresh?
ProFresh Standard Action Pack (which includes one A and one B sachet) is all you need to see a difference in your breath. Our Double Action Pack uses two A and B sachets for an extra strength formulation which jump starts the process when you first use ProFesh. Some of our customers use a Double Action formula every time and that’s perfectly fine but don’t use more than this.
What if I wear removable dentures?
ProFresh is safe to use with dentures. Clean removable dentures daily. Rinse thoroughly with water. Soak the denture(s) overnight in ProFresh® Oral Rinse the first night you start the ProFresh Breathcare routine. Thereafter, soak them in ProFresh® overnight once each month.
